That's exactly the kind of stress I was trying to describe. It's easy for systems to make sense of what they can measure, but it's hard for them to figure out how people feel. To me, leadership isn’t proven by how well people hold things together under strain, but by whether the system still works when no one is quietly absorbing the impact.
